Right after Thanksgiving...studying for finals, papers, and only 3 weeks to get it all done and wrap it up before I headed home for the holidays...so the bloggy did get neglected a little...shall we recap?
Just exactly 7 days ago I turned a Super Sweet 16 (+10) :-). 2 days before that I celebrated in NYC with my new friends from grad school. It was a lot of fun b/c it was the first time we all really hung out at a non-Wagner event. That was Thursday nite...then I caught a flight Friday morning to LA...and reunited/partied with my friends in LA at Medusa Lounge. And then I spent the next 5 days after that catching up on a month's worth of sleep that I lost over finals and flying from one coast to the other.

So 2008 was certainly my quarter life crisis year, with a lot of ups and downs and dead ends and 5 weddings in between. Everything I thought I wanted and planned for didn't happen...which forced me to become really good at changing my life plan several times. And the lesson learned for the year is to just go with the flow, no more planning (within reason) and just enjoy the ride. It used to scare me and frustrate me when things don't go according to plan...but now I am excited to see where I will end up a year from now, b/c I certainly never expected to find myself reflecting, on my winter break, from grad school, in New York City.
Okay well maybe I will know where I am a year from now, b/c my program is 2 years long...so I will probably be doing the same thing a year from now. Maybe. :-)
